This handmade cut coin pendant was made from a US Sacagawea dollar. This coin has
been minted from 2000 until now and is one of two dollar coins currently in circulation.
Even though the US Mint originally called this coin the Sacagawea Golden Dollar (since
2009 the Native American Dollar) it is not made of gold but of pure copper with a
magnesium brass outer clad. Since there is no known portrait of the actual Sacagawea,
the guide for the Lewis and Clark Expedition, a modern Shoshone woman was used as a model.
This piece is gold plated with 14kt gold. After I completed it I had it electroplated by a
professional jewelry plater. It is, of course, covered by my no-questions-asked
seven-day money-back guarantee. See seven-day-guarantee for full details.
