This handmade cut coin pendant was made from a Bahamas fifteen cent piece. The coin
is made from a copper nickel alloy and has the unique diamond shape. It has been minted
starting since 1966 but is rarely found in circulation. The reverse of the coin carries the
image of a hibiscus blossom, a flower very common in the Bahamas and also in south Florida
where I live.
