This handmade British ship cut coin pendant was made from a British half penny piece.
Half pennies were made for over 700 years until the British currency was decimalized
in 1969. They represented 1/480 of a pound. Starting in 1936 the reverse carried the
image of a ship said to be Sir Francis Drake’s Golden Hind. The coin is made of copper.
It is about midway in size between an American quarter and an American half dollar.
After I completed cutting this coin I had it electroplated with 14kt gold by a
professional jewelry plater. The British ship cut coin, like all my cut coins, is
covered by my no-questions-asked seven-day money-back guarantee. See
seven-day-guarantee for full details.
