This handmade cut coin pendant was made from a French 10 franc piece from the
1950’s. The coin is made of copper and is about the same size as an American nickel.
The portrait of the French lady has a cameo style appearance.  This piece was
electroplated with 14 kt gold by a professional jewelry plater after I completed it.

from the 1960’s.  The coins were all made of an aluminum bronze alloy.  All have
the same design with a portrait of Marianne in left profile wearing the
Phrygian cap of liberty, a symbol of the French nation.  The first photo is the five
centime piece which is about the size of a US dime.  The second is the 10 centime
piece which is slightly larger than a US nickel.  The third is the 20 centime piece
which is about the same size as a US quarter.  All have been electroplated with 14 kt
