This handmade cut coin pendant was made from an Israeli half pound piece, also knows
as a half lira. These coins were minted from 1963 until 1980. They were made of a copper
nickel alloy. The coin is about the same size as an American quarter. The obverse side
shows the menorah that is also the emblem of Israel. The lettering at the bottom is the
word Israel in Hebrew.
