This handmade cut coin pendant was made from a Japanese 100 yen piece. These coins
have been minted since 1967. They are made of a copper nickel alloy consisting of 75%
copper and 25% nickel. The coin is about the same size as an American quarter. The
obverse or front side shows the cherry blossoms.
