This handmade cut coin pendant was made from a South African two cent piece.
The coin is made from copper and is about the size of a US quarter. It was minted
from 1965 until 1988. The reverse has an image of a wildebeest, sometimes called
a gnu. Wildebeest are widely found in South Africa, although not as widely as in
the past. Wildebeest are sort of the African equivalent of the bison in North
America and used to exist in huge herds of thousands or even millions of animals.
The herds still exist but not on the same scale.
After I completed cutting this coin I had it electroplated with 14kt gold by a
professional jewelry plater. The South African Wildebeest cut coin is, of course, covered
by my no-questions-asked seven-day money-back guarantee. See seven-day-guarantee
for full details.
